Hazel Chang
After more than a decade in retail, Hazel shifted her focus to health and wellness, beginning with functional strength training. As a mother of two, her initial goal was to build the strength and endurance needed to keep up with her children. But soon, working out became something she looked forward to, rather than just a task she dreaded having to do.
Hazel wanted to be present for her kids and their milestones and saw exercise as a way to enhance her health span, not just her lifespan. Extending her healthy years allowed her to enjoy more quality time with loved ones, embrace new opportunities and stay active without being limited by age or ability.
After exploring boxing, running and spin, Hazel discovered that Pilates offered the best results. Combined with her high-intensity functional training, Pilates provided complementary benefits through mindful movement. It allowed her to pay more attention to often neglected smaller muscle groups while incorporating exercises across all planes of movement. It strengthened her core, improved her articulation, worked on her stability and increased her understanding of body mechanics.
The benefits of Pilates were not limited to just the hour long sessions but extended into her daily life, improving her posture and body awareness, which translated to moving better in and out of the gym.
Hazel hopes to inspire her clients to look forward to their sessions and reap the lifelong benefits of Pilates. As a STOTT PILATES certified instructor, she can’t wait to be a part of your Pilates journey and help you to achieve your desired goals and results.
